This is the first time the theme park participated in the global movement to turn off all non-essential lighting for one hour with a gathering of 50 families at its Surf Beach venue. Guests experienced dining at the beach in a blackout with a host of games and entertainment.
Activities of the night’s programme included fire dances accompanied by live percussion and music performances, a Limbo Rock and Hula Hoop challenge, which not only illuminated the atmosphere around Sunway Lagoon with merriment, but enabled guests to spend Earth Hour in an enjoyable and the unique Sunway Lagoon manner of family fun and good food.
“We hope to create a positive effect to families around Klang Valley. As the world stand united to their commitment to Earth Hour, we, as a family’s premier theme park, decided to bring families together on this one special night as we believe that a healthy relationship starts within the family,” said Sean Choo, general manager of Sunway Lagoon.
