First Edition of European Art of Living Exhibition Successfully held in Vietnam

EuroSphere 2017 can be considered as one of the classier events that the city of Ho Chi Minh has hosted. Visitors attending the exhibition came not only from Vietnam but from Europe and the rest of Southeast Asia. An exhibition dedicated to the elegance and sophistication of European culture and living brought to the Asian market for two days (June 16 and 17) with display from a wide range of sectors: gourmet food, wine and spirits; fashion, accessories and jewellery; perfumery and cosmetics; furniture and interior design; and automobile.

Buyers and visitors connected with leading importers, distributors and policy makers through pre-arranged business-to-business meetings of over 100 brands. Meanwhile a conference on the fashion and luxury industry was conducted by Donald Potard, the former chief executive officer of Jean-Paul Gaultier Group.

In the evening, exhibitors and buyers enjoyed a four-course gala dinner of French cuisine prepared by Michelin star Chef Philippe Joannes with official guest the French Ambassador, Bertrand Lortholary. This as well as fashion shows by designers from Vietnam and Europe.

The venue of the exhibition that is the GEM Centre, with its state-of-the-art facilities, is well located in the central business district of Ho Chi Minh City which was opened three years ago, was specifically designed and curated to host such an event. Altogether the centre consists of 7,200 square metres of convention, exhibition, performing arts and banquet facilities which also includes two grand ballrooms that can be separated into eight smaller ballrooms. There are also two boardrooms, three function spaces and a charming rooftop tree house complex for outdoor events.

Regional partners of the exhibition were the EU-Indonesia Business Network, EU-Philippine Business Network, European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, European Chamber of Commerce in Laos PDR, European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation.

The 7th Expo Project Fair for International Cooperation – One of Beijing’s leading B2B Events

Throughout the seven years, EPFIC has developed into one of the most highly reputable fair in the Chinese exhibition industry, drawing participants from convention and exhibition bureaus, industry associations and companies each year.

Last year, EPFIC welcomed, over 1,000 industry professionals, the highest in the event’s history. Among them were 56 exhibitors and 256 trade visitors. This year’s fair is scheduled to be held from July 4 to 6 at the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center. It will be jointly organised by China International Conference and Exhibition Magazine Agency and the Machinery and Automobile Exhibitions Federation.

EPFIC 2017 has adopted the theme: Gathering, Sharing and Communicating whereby exhibition professionals will discuss on the globalisation of the Chinese Government’s 13th Five-Year Plan. This includes the cooperation with other industries along the concept of integration and sharing, and how the exhibition industry, can achieve a healthy development through innovation and upgrading.

A number of renowned industry figures from China and abroad will be among the guest speakers. Vietnam to Host First European Art of Living Exhibition

Eurosphere 2017 will see 80 European brands participating at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City from June 16 to 17. Among the products showcased are fashion and accessories, gourmet food and beverages, perfumery and cosmetics, interior design and automotive with representatives of these products present to meet potential partners locally and from Southeast Asia.

A new concept of trade event, the exhibition is dedicated to bring the various European quality products to the Vietnamese and Southeast Asia market. It was introduced in the context of the new Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between EU and Vietnam (EVFTA) with Vietnam being the first country to sign such agreement in ASEAN after Singapore.

Companies taking part in the event are the first wave of European brands enjoying the unprecedented benefits from the FTA – main changes will be on import tax that will decrease to zero during a period of time of eight years, as well as on Geographical indications that will be protected automatically upon entry into force of the FTA.

The Eurosphere is supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs, national Embassies of European countries to Vietnam and Chambers of commerce of all EU member states and ASEAN regional partners.

In a press conference on May 12, His Excellency Bruno Angelet the ambassador and head of the delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, expressed strong belief in the success of Eurosphere in creating opportunity for the promotion of European products to the Vietnamese market.

While Delphine Rousselet, director of EVBN said: “European businesses deciding to enter Vietnam in this crucial time will have first-mover advantage in establishing their name in the market. Eurosphere will undoubtedly strengthen and continue to promote the economic bond between Vietnam and the EU trading bloc.”

Genting Cruise Lines Host Weekend Gateway Onboard the Genting Dream – Its First Asian Luxury Cruise Line

Over 350 guests from 11 countries comprising of the media and travel agents with senior executives of Genting Cruise Lines attended a forum and gala dinner onboard its inaugural ship, the Genting Dream which set sail from Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong.

During the three-day event guests, were introduced to the Genting Cruise Lines’ latest cruise products such as: the SuprtStar Virgo’s golden sea route cruises whose current homeport deployment is in Manila, Hong Kong and Kaohsiung, will move to Shanghai, Osaka and Tokyo (Yokohama Port) in July and sail to Mt Fuji (Shimizu Port) and Kagoshima (Hososhima Port); the SuperStar Gemini in Bangkok to Sihanoukville, Koh Kong Island and Koh Samui; and an update on the Okinawa Festival which takes place onboard Genting Dream throughout the ship’s summer deployment from Hong Kong to Guangzhou (Nansha Port) to Okinawa.
Guests from the different countries participated in outdoor sports challenges and mingled at the Zouk Beach Club for an open-air cocktail reception.
The gateway concluded with a Shanghai-themed gala dinner, where everyone wore Cheongsam costumes in a convivial atmosphere reminiscent of the 1930s golden era of the city of Shanghai.

Sunway Lagoon Observes Earth Hour

This is the first time the theme park participated in the global movement to turn off all non-essential lighting for one hour with a gathering of 50 families at its Surf Beach venue. Guests experienced dining at the beach in a blackout with a host of games and entertainment.

Activities of the night’s programme included fire dances accompanied by live percussion and music performances, a Limbo Rock and Hula Hoop challenge, which not only illuminated the atmosphere around Sunway Lagoon with merriment, but enabled guests to spend Earth Hour in an enjoyable and the unique Sunway Lagoon manner of family fun and good food.

World MICE Day-2017 – Boosting Silkroad Meeting Industry

Qingdao in China will host the upcoming WMD-2017 this October 25 to 27. The three day event will bring together people in the MICE industry from around the globe: as exhibitors to showcase their products; attendees for business-to-business meetings and visitors to view the latest in the MICE business. Also included are training sessions, conference and forums on key topics and subject on MICE.

Hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Qingdao Sub-Council and organised by BIT Congress Inc, the show is initiated by the World Conference Organizer Alliance (WCOA).
